Fog Wave | Original Acrylic Painting

Fog Wave emerged through a fluid art experiment built on patience and movement.

Bands of color were poured across the canvas and then slowly tilted from side to side, allowing the paint to blend, stretch, and flow naturally. As the layers merged, sharp edges softened and new forms began to appear, creating a landscape of shifting color and gentle motion.

The resulting composition feels atmospheric and open to interpretation. Some viewers see waves moving through mist, while others see distant horizons, flowing water, or abstract currents. The longer you spend with the piece, the more subtle transitions and hidden details reveal themselves.

Soft blues, greens, violets, and warm neutral tones create a calming palette that brings a sense of movement without overwhelming a space. The painting has an airy quality, as though forms are appearing and disappearing through a veil of fog.  My son helped complete the piece by choosing its title. Fog Wave felt like the perfect name for its soft transitions and drifting sense of movement.

Like many of my paintings, Fog Wave was not planned in advance. It emerged through experimentation, curiosity, and a willingness to follow the paint where it wanted to go.
