Rainbow Shattered Fragments | Original Acrylic Painting

Rainbow Shattered Fragments began as an exploration of layered color, texture, and the quiet rhythm of painting with a palette knife. Built slowly through dozens of scraped acrylic layers, the composition reveals unexpected flashes of vibrant color emerging from beneath deep blues, greens, and violets.

Rather than focusing on a single subject, the painting invites the viewer to wander. Hidden shapes, luminous passages, and subtle textures reveal themselves over time, making each viewing a little different from the last.

Named by my son, who said it looked like "pieces of a rainbow scattered all around," this painting celebrates the beauty that can emerge through experimentation, patience, and embracing the unexpected.
